The Logo of MathConsult Dr. R. Mäder

The Great Icosidodecahedron is a uniform polyhedron that can be generated by cutting off the vertices of a Great Stellated Icosahedron (left) or a Great Icosahedron (right). It has 12 pentagrammic and 20 triangular faces, shown yellow and red, respectively.

All images of the polyhedra on these pages were computed with Mathematica and rendered with ray tracing. More information can be found on the polyhedra pages.
