1986 Ph. D. (Mathematics) at ETH Zürich, Switzerland
with a dissertation on denotational semantics of programming languages.
1986-1989 Visiting Assistant Professor
Department of Mathematics, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, USA.
1988-1989 Visiting Senior Computer Scientist
Center for Supercomputer Research and Applications, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, USA.
1988 Co-Founder of Wolfram Research, Inc.
Dr. Mäder is one of the developers of Mathematica. He worked in such areas as its programming language and details of internal implementations.
1990-1996 Professor of Computer Science, ETH Zürich.
